A candid photo outside Kyoto train station during a sightseeing trip

Candid photographs have a different ambiance not normally found in photographs where you line up your subjects for a contrived pose. Generally, capturing a perfect moment takes a bit of patience and quick action on the part of the photographer, but when you do succeed, a candid photograph has a memorable and endearing quality that makes it perfect for galleries and collections.

This is a candid photograph from a sightseeing trip to Kyoto with three spirited women--two Malaysians and one Mongolian.
