Pimp My Cube Contest!

This post brought to you by Contest Factory. All opinions are 100% mine.

Most office workers spend an average of 8 hours at work---that's two hours more than we spend with our family, at the gym, cleaning and eating combined. With so much time spent at the office, it only makes sense to get comfortable in your cubicle. Many of us don’t like working in a dirty, messy environment right?

This is why the Contest Factory is running a “Pimp My Cube Contest”. They are searching for the worst, most pathetic and messy cubicle or office that may have bad furniture, old technology, unorganized, noisy, and dirty and/or any other things that make your office a bad space to work in. So, if you think your office cubicle is the worst office cubicle in the world then you should definitely join this contest. To join, all you have to do is create a video that shows how terrible or awful your office cubicle is and say a few words about its awfulness.

After creating your video, you must submit it to the official Pimp my Cube Contest page but before, you can submit it, and you must first sign-up for a FREE account. Once submitted, you must then get your friends, family, co-workers and officemates to vote for your video.

The first prize winner will be decided by the CF judges based on various criteria including for the most votes, best (really worst) video and most compelling story. The second place winner will win a $200 gift card which will be award at the end of the contest.

Last but not the least; don’t forget contest period is from December 5 at 12:00 PM to January 31 at 12:00 PM.

You’ll never miss a conversation with this dual touch display messaging smartphone that keeps you connected to your social network - it’s not just cooler, it’s more fun! You can browse the internet with the screen above while posting the links to Facebook and Twitter.  Or you can be chatting in an instant message while playing a game or watching a movie.

The LG DoublePlay comes equipped with:

  • Dual touch screens, main display and 2.0-inch sub display allowing people to multitask like never before. Users can update their Facebook pages while simultaneously surfing the web, texting or checking email.
  • A 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recorder for sharp images that can be easily posted to your favorite social media.

I spend most of my time on social networking websites using my laptop.  I would use my phone if it wasn’t a pre-paid cell phone.  If I had one of these phones, I’m almost sure I would rarely ever use my laptop, well, except to blog.  I’m pretty sure that if I had this phone, I would never look up again.

So, how many hours a day do you spend on social networks on your phone?  What about per month?  How would this phone change the way you spent your time online?

Pls. leave your comment below. Thanks

VAIO UX mini laptop

The new Vaio UX Micro PC, which seems more akin to an OQO device than a UMPC. For starters, this unit obviously has a hardware keyboard, which doesn't seem that bad of decision given the difficulty of using current-gen UMPC keyboards. The UX is also powered by a full on Core Solo processor (don't ask us how they got it in there), and runs Windows XP Professional. As rumored, the device also includes Bluetooth, WiFi, WWAN (EDGE connectivity) and a fingerprint reader. Along with the front camera for video conferencing, there is a camera in the rear for snapping pics, and the UX also can plug into a VGA adapter for powering an external monitor. The 4.5-inch screen is capable of a 800 x 600 resolution and accepts stylus input. We're not sure if the UX has another pointer device, but the unit can be docked to allow for desktop use, including VGA, Ethernet, IEEE-1394, three USB 2.0 ports and AV out, so you can use a regular mouse in those situations.

Norton Small Business by Symantec

This post brought to you by Norton Small Business by Symantec. All opinions are 100% mine.

It is no secret that small business needs to be protected. With sensitive data being housed in computers throughout each enterprise, the smallest threat could transform into a catastrophe. Therefore, it is imperative that a company has an internet security that works. Luckily, Norton one of the best anti-viruses has a business version of their software to meet companies' needs, called Norton Small Business by Symantec.

Norton Small Business by Symantec is tailor made for protecting the sensitive data. Featuring real-time protection against viruses and other forms of malware as well as protection from infected email and hijacked websites, Norton Small Business by Symantec is a solid choice for protecting employees and small businesses.

New Message-494

According to Norton, almost six out of ten small business owners admitted to having experienced some sort of malware (malicious software on their computer) in the past three years, and half of them had to pay an expert to resolve the problem. So far, I’ve been lucky. But I also have Norton Anti Virus protection, and it just gets better with each year, so updating to the new 2012 version is a given.

Businesses can get 30% off Norton Small Business Products now with the specials they are offering Small Business Owners.

New Message

Norton 360 and Norton Internet Security 2012 are the 2 new Norton products that came out in September 2011. They have the latest protection and tools to fit your everyday technology needs.

So, which Norton product would benefit you most?  I'm leaning towards the Norton 2012 because it solves all the problems in one place, but I'd love to hear your feedback.

The Zen V Plus

Guest Post by BANICMANIC

I started out with the Zen V 1 gigabyte model, but as technology got bigger and better I upgraded to the Zen V plus. I didn't think I could like anything more than my liltte Zen V, but then I met the Zen V plus.

The Zen V Plus has everything I loved about my original Zen V, but with a nice perk-Videos! The video quality is amazing! I thought maybe it'd be hard to see since it's a small mp3 player, but the video is really high quality.

I loved the look of my pictures on the Zen V and still love them with the Zen V Plus. There's more room for more pictures which is great. Nothing like having pictures of friends and family when your away from home.

The battery lasts and last, and is really easy to charge in the car or on a work computer. I've never had a problem with the battery. That's a great thing for me because my iPod batteries would go out like crazy and that was a huge pain in the neck!

The Zen V Plus packs quite a punch for a small mp3 player. Plus it's more affordable than an iPod. I've owned a couple of iPods in the past and I'd pick the Zen V Plus over an iPod any day! The Zen V Plus is a great value for the money, you won't regret buying this little mp3 player!
