I have been cooking gourmet dog food for my 3 year old Boxer since day one. In the proposed recipe the suggestion that green vegetables, especially peas, be used in dog food makes me uneasy. I did a lot of research into cooking for my dog and found several articles which said peas are poisonous to dogs. I normally boil a combination of chicken gizzard, chicken liver, either chicken breast or turkey along with a either a handful of rice or one shredded carrot or one shredded potato. I try to feed her (she is 60 pounds) a one pound meal, twice per day. I usually cook each meal fresh but will sometimes make a double portion at dinner so that the next morning breakfast is ready (if I need to leave for work early). Along with moderate exercise she is trim and very healthy. As a treat I sometimes add one can of sardines to her food (don't cook the sardines). She loves sardines so I mix them well with the other.

Do you eat quickly or slowly?

I don't like be the last one of eating. Maybe I eat slowly. Especially When I have lunch I have to eat quickly. Although I'm not the slowest one I don't want my friends wait for me.



Sometimes I think they eat less and not full. If I eat more quickly I feel uncomfortable.

The games they are playing will be for the ultimate champion in both eastern and western conference. It's an exciting series and it's difficult to make predictions for just a single game. After three games, then it may be easier. As of now, the Lakers have the edge due to their win in Game 1. If the Boston Celtics team will comeback and win game 2, then it will be more exciting.

I grew up with dogs as pets

I grew up with dogs as pets, but as an adult I wasn't able to get a dog for one reason or another until I bought my first house. Then it was just a matter of having the time to train a dog, so I waited until late spring (my wife teaches so she could be with the dog every day during the summer) before adopting.

I chose to get a pound puppy because they are the LAST dogs to get a chance at homes and mutts are often healthier than the "pure" breeds.

It was a silly thought, but I had the urge to read The Da Vinci Code in Japanese. When I saw the book in a used bookstore in Osaka, Japan, I told myself that this would be an interesting challenge to prove my proficiency in Nihongo (or the Japanese language).

For sure, this book will take me a long time to master and even a bit inefficient as a learning technique. But it's going to be an achievement to be able to do so and that is enough motivation for me.
